This book, co-authored by CEO Club Ukraine and the Ukrainian Institute for the Future, is based on over 40 strategic sessions and more than 100 individual interviews with leading experts — and serves as an answer to the question: ‘What might Ukraine look like in 10 years’ time, and what needs to be done to make this a reality?’. The publication reflects the business community’s shared vision of the country’s future and its development.
It describes a real-life case study of CEO Club Ukraine — from the initial idea for the club to the development of a community comprising hundreds of entrepreneurs and business leaders.
It is a practical guide featuring solutions, mistakes, lessons learnt and principles that help to build environments of trust and growth.

The book is co-authored by professional researchers and economists.
For the past 15 years, I have been building clubs and communities — in other words, developing social capital. I have also been continuously searching for answers to the question of how social capital can be used to drive change in society and launch socially important projects.
Since there was no formal way to learn this — how to develop clubs, how to build social capital, and how to use it to change the world — I had to gather this knowledge piece by piece from different sources.
This book is intended for a wide readership: from government officials and experts to active citizens with an interest in the country’s development.

When was the last time you truly paused to reflect on what you’ll leave behind? Not in terms of material possessions, but your actual contribution to this world.
Fortunately, life is finite — and that very impermanence makes every moment all the more precious. This realization brings the core questions of existence into sharp focus: "Why am I here?" and "Who am I in this world?"
For millennia, philosophers and sages have offered vastly different perspectives on this. Yet many agree on one thing: what matters most is the very act of reflecting, discussing, and searching. Everyone will arrive at their own answer, and for each person, that answer will be the right one. That’s when clarity and a sense of lightness emerge.
However, this search isn’t a one-time event where you find an answer and stop. It’s an ongoing process. Think of it like a musical instrument — over time, with regular use, it naturally goes out of tune. That’s completely normal. But it does require periodic tuning.
And just as an instrument cannot hear itself or serve as its own tuning fork, we need others — to search, to reflect, and to evolve.

It is a place where anyone can speak their mind completely freely, and the others will simply listen.
Just as you listen — without commenting. Internally, you might agree or disagree, accept it or not, hold onto the thought or forget it instantly… but no one will judge you, and no one will ask 'why.' You are alone with yourself, yet never lonely, because you are surrounded by people who have become your friends over these days — people who looked deep into their fears, anxieties, and inner thoughts, and shared them with you.
We managed to synchronize our thoughts, emotions, and moods, creating a space where everyone is equal and where we could talk about things that never come up in daily life. We walked the entire path: from the very beginning — who we are, who 'I' am, what the world means to me, how we interact with it and with those around us, how we make choices, love, fear, deceive ourselves, and relate to money and power — all the way to the end, to death, which actually can and should be spoken about, and to what we leave behind. And that truly matters.

When was the last time you asked yourself what you’re living this life for? I have an answer — my own. Of course, it’s not the ultimate truth, which is why I return to this question from time to time. And to others closely connected to it: the line between good and evil, love and fear, death and legacy.
Together with fellow members of CEO Club Ukraine (and a few from Arta Club), we shared our reflections during an offsite retreat. Three days filled with meaningful conversations with thoughtful, mature, and deep people about timeless themes. I often spoke first, as I mentioned — I have my own answers. But my colleagues’ perspectives frequently made me reconsider these questions from new angles. More than once, I experienced moments of real insight.
I’m sincerely grateful to all my fellow members for a wonderful weekend—honest conversations, watching and discussing a film, a psychological game, and constant dialogue. Special thanks to the President of the CEO Club, Serhiy Haidaichuk, and the Club team for their facilitation and support.

The philosophical retreat became more than just an event for me — it was a space for genuine inner work. Among business leaders, we didn’t talk about tools, but about what lies deeper: meaning, fear, love, truth, death, responsibility.
It was a rare opportunity to step beyond my own transactional reality and honestly look at myself through others — not judging my choices, but trying to understand why they are what they are. For me, it was less about finding answers and more about searching for the deeper meanings behind forms and words.
